Coworker: I loved that scene in 'Free Willy' when the whale jumps over the kid to his freedom.

Me: Really? I hated that scene. It still makes me mad.

Coworker: What? It was a beautiful scene! How could it make you mad?

Me: Because the whale's jumping to his freedom and the kid's just standing there, forcing Willy to jump even higher than he would have otherwise. He's even got the one fist pumped up in the air, making himself an even taller hurdle. Willy was doing all the work, all Jesse had to do was stay out of the damn way but when the time came he just couldn't resist the dramatic photo-op. Jesse's a dick.

Coworker: I never thought of it from that perspective. Great, now I'll never watch that movie the same way again.

Me: My work is done.
